I usually like to eat beef or pork jerky as a snack. However, two weeks ago, I accidentally found out that there was vegan jerky by my friend's introduction. 👀
I was curious about the new food, so I decided to try vegan jerky. I ordered vegan jerky in three different flavors. The price of the three flavors of vegan jerky doesn't exceed 10,000 won, including shipping, so the price is affordable.
I decided to try the smoked & BBQ flavor vegan jerky of these.
This vegan jerky is from Taiwan, made with vegetable protein, and includes soy sauce. The vegan jerky was cut into pieces that were easy to eat and had a BBQ flavor. The chopped jerky was a bit moist, not the texture of the real meat.
When I put it in my mouth and chewed it, the salty taste and BBQ aroma matched, so it was okay to eat it as a snack. However, it is different from the taste of real jerky, so don't expect much. Just think of it as a bit of a chewy jerky. I think it would be okay to eat with alcohol. If you're a vegetarian but want to eat jerky, it's good to eat it at least once.
